Ok here are the ingredients! Cup and saucer, stamp, paint, a fork, scissors, copy paper and a hot glue gun.
Add some water to your paint to make a wash not too much water is needed but enough to make a less thick consistency.
I painted 6 pieces of a4 copy paper for this (both sides) and left to dry. You can dry with heat gun but it does warp the paper making it harder to stamp on later.
Stamp the marigold stamp 70 times, 12 per sheet. I know, sounds like a task but I think its worth it! Lol
Keep the edgings of painted paper (this will be used to make the stamens later)
Now this is where your patience is tested, cut the stamped pieces out (5 per flower).
Cut first one whole then each consecutive one smaller and smaller ( its easy to follow the stamp lines!)
Now snip up to centre of the flowers, random cuts as it wont show on final flower.
Stamens...I had a stamen die so I used this, however you can cut strips if you dont have one, snip all up the edges and roll it up trimming it to size.
Next, shape your flowers with shaper tool.
These are all the flowers shaped and ready to glue together.
Use your pokey tool to curve and shape petals of flowers and glue each layer together. Okay these are your finished flowers! Phew...still with me?!
The fork needs to shaped slightly so dont go for the best quality as it will be harder to bend!
This is the shape you are looking for...you can make this however you wish although you need to keep checking as if its too far from off centre of saucer the weight could cause it to be unstable..
I test the forks shape by holding it up to the cup and mark where it sits just off centre.
Hot glue gun the forked side to the flat of the saucer.
And then do the same with the cup! Ok construction can begin with gluing your flowers on. Unfortunately I didnt photograph this part (I honestly dont know why)!! Start with the inner part of the cup...one right in centre of the cup base then one at off sides to it and then work your way down the fork (not forgetting the back) just try make sure you dont use too many so once you have done your first few in cup do the ones around the fork on the saucer. If you look at my finished cup you can see what I did. Good luck and cant wait to hear how you get on! Happy teacupping!! :) hope you enjoyed this tutorial :) Pam xx
You could however skip the whole making your own flowers and use ready made ones as I have done in the above teacups.!!
